Official Recruitment for Recruiting Year 2027 under the Agnipath Scheme
The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Srinagar has released the official recruitment notification for unmarried male candidates from the Union Territory of J&K. This recruitment drive covers districts including Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Pulwama, Budgam, Kupwara, Shopian, Ganderbal, Bandipora, and Kulgam.

Eligibility Criteria by Category

| Agniveer Tradesman | Class 10th or 8th Simple Pass. No aggregate % required, but 33% in each subject. | 17½ - 22 Years |
Date of Birth Note: Candidates must be born between 01 July 2005 to 01 July 2009 (both days inclusive).
Physical Standards (Minimum)
- Height (General Duty/Tradesman/Tech): 163 cm
- Height (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical): 162 cm
- Chest: 77 cm (+ 5 cm expansion)
- Weight: Proportionate to height as per Army Medical Standards.
Selection Process & Phases
- Phase I: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE). This is a computer-based test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Phase II: Recruitment Rally for CEE qualified candidates (Physical Fitness Test, Medical Test, and Document Verification).
Pay, Allowances & Benefits
Selected Agniveers will receive a customized monthly package with yearly increments:
- 1st Year: ₹30,000/- (plus applicable allowances)
- 4th Year: ₹40,000/- (plus applicable allowances)
- Seva Nidhi Package: Approx. ₹10.04 Lakh after 4 years of service.
- Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 Lakhs.
