SSC Selection Post Phase-XIII 2025: Revised Document Verification & Scrutiny Process Explained
SSC Revises Document Verification Process for Selection Post Phase-XIII/2025
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially issued an important notice regarding modification in the procedure for scrutiny of documents and document verification (DV) for Selection Post Examination Phase-XIII/2025 onwards.
This revised mechanism introduces structural changes in how documents will be examined by User Departments, how acceptance or rejection lists will be prepared, and how candidates can raise representations.
Why This Update is Important?
Earlier, document verification procedures often required coordination between SSC and User Departments in multiple stages. To streamline and increase transparency, SSC has now implemented a revised and more structured system for scrutiny and finalization of eligible candidates.
This change aims to:
- Ensure faster processing of documents
- Increase transparency in acceptance/rejection decisions
- Provide candidates an official opportunity to submit representations
- Reduce administrative delays between SSC and User Departments
Step-by-Step Revised Document Verification Process
1️⃣ Document Upload by Candidates
After the declaration of the Computer Based Examination (CBE) result, shortlisted candidates will upload their required documents on the designated SSC portal within the prescribed timeline.
2️⃣ Forwarding of Documents to User Departments
Once the upload deadline ends, SSC will electronically forward the documents to the respective Nodal Officers of concerned User Departments.
3️⃣ Scrutiny by User Departments
The User Departments will carefully examine the documents in accordance with the eligibility conditions, educational qualifications, age criteria, and other requirements mentioned in the official examination notice.
4️⃣ Tentative Acceptance / Rejection List
After scrutiny, the User Departments will prepare a Tentative Acceptance/Rejection List and forward it to the concerned Regional Office (RO) of SSC.
The Regional Office will upload this list on its official website.
Candidates whose names appear in the rejection list will be allowed to submit representations directly to the concerned User Department within the specified time period.
5️⃣ Final Acceptance / Rejection List
After examining all representations, the User Departments will prepare the Final Acceptance/Rejection List and send it to the concerned SSC Regional Office for publication.
Skill Test (If Applicable)
If the post category includes a Skill Test, the concerned User Department will issue call letters and conduct the Skill Test where applicable under their administrative control.
Candidates must ensure that all uploaded documents are accurate and valid to avoid rejection during scrutiny.
From When is This Applicable?
This revised procedure will be applicable for Selection Post Phase-XIII/2025 onwards.
Candidates preparing for SSC Selection Posts are advised to stay updated with official notifications and regularly visit SSC regional websites.
Important Advisory for Candidates
- Upload clear and valid documents only.
- Cross-check eligibility before document submission.
- Keep checking the Regional Office website after result declaration.
- Submit representations within the given time limit if required.
